Just like as a telescope can be built with either concave mirrors or lenses, a satellite dish can with advantage be built with lenses instead of reflectors. And several attempts within this area have been done. The last is Cybertenna from Telewide.Cybertenna have, like the torodialantenna, a widely reception area and that allows a fairly easy emplacement of the LNBs. It has also have been many earlier attempts with lensantennas. Such a solution was the dielectrical sphere, that however becomes very clumsily even if it's completely democratic when it goes for the efficiency of reception from different directions. |
